You can’t fit square blocks into circular holes – and sometimes, this adage applies to players and their clubs. A player may look the real deal at one club and make a big cash transfer to a Premier League – but this equation does not always guarantee success for both player and club. The following list details players that offer very little to their current club, and should consider a move for the benefit of both parties.
Whether it be that they just haven’t got the quality to break into the first team, have constant injury worries or are simply happy to sit on a hefty pay packet and not contribute to the team, these players are all pointless assets for their current clubs. Here’s hoping they care more for football than money and consider a transfer sooner rather than later.
