Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a superb start to the season this year as under Nuno Espirito Santo, Wolves have climbed to 11th in the table and barring any run of poor form over the season, they look as though they won’t be fighting relegation.
So far this season, the Wolves boss has kept relatively the same team from week to week in order to maintain continuity and for the most part, it’s worked.
In midfield, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves have been superb, while Diego Jota and Helder Costa have provided plenty of threat going forward. Striker, Raul Jimenez has had a solid season so far this year but has failed to score many goals.
With that in mind, the Mirror is reporting that Wolves are lining up a bid for Liverpool forward, Divock Origi who’s valued at just £9 million.
The Breakdown
Since he moved to Liverpool, Origi has never managed to turn himself into the top quality marksman some may have thought he might be, there again, he’s never really been given a long stretch in the side.
In the 2016/17 season, he did play 34 games but most of those were substitute appearances. He’s a talented forward and a move to Wolves might just be the transfer he needs to finally deliver on his potential.
This season, Origi has fallen out of favour with Jurgen Klopp but at just 23 he could well be the man to take Wolves into Europe. With Jimenez only scoring three goals this season, Origi would be a massive upgrade.
Wolves fans, what do you think?
