Sunday’s Premier League clash between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur was eventful to say the absolute least.
It finished 2-2 after Harry Kane netted a late penalty, but Kane had missed a previous spot kick at 1-1 before Mohamed Salah scored what looked to be a winner for Liverpool.
The linesman’s decision to give Tottenham a late penalty saw the points shared, but the manner in which Liverpool faded in the second period has been widely discussed.
One of those that came off the Liverpool bench in a bid to turn the tide was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was introduced in the 65th minute.
The former Arsenal midfielder did not make an impact, however, and was criticised for his part in Tottenham levelling the scores at 1-1 through a super strike from Victor Wanyama.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has had his moments in a Liverpool shirt, but it would be fair to say that there are still a lot of the club’s supporters that are yet to be convinced.
