And several of the visiting support were quick to praise the 21-year-old, who managed the full 90 minutes on his comeback.
One member of the Reds faithful labelled him ‘super human’ while another claimed that the midfielder is a future captain of the side, which is a strong possibility considering his contract isn’t up for another season.
‘Magnificent’ and ‘immense’ were just two of the other words used to describe Yates’ performance with one more supporter believing that it was no coincidence that the side won with him in the lineup.
