Juventus star Alisha Lehmann has left the door open to a return to the Women's Super League, saying English football still has "part of my heart".

Lehmann has admitted that she would consider returning to England in the future. The Switzerland international began her journey in English football in 2018 when she joined West Ham from BSC YB Frauen. The midfielder then briefly spent a year on loan at Everton before joining Aston Villa in 2021, where she made a name for herself. Last summer, the 26-year-old moved to Italy, along with her boyfriend Douglas Luiz, to sign for Juventus.

Speaking on show The Kickback, Lehmann said when asked about the possibility of returning to the WSL: "I don’t know, I have a contract for three years, I love Juventus, I love the team. I’m really happy there, to be honest. We will see what the future brings. Part of my heart is English because I grew up here. When I came, I couldn’t speak English."

In her maiden season at Juventus, Lehmann has made 15 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals. Lehmann has also won 58 caps for Switzerland, but was left out of the latest national team squad amid a split in career focuses, having become a co-manager in the Baller League UK alongside Love Island host Maya Jama.
