The ex-Liverpool full-back made his much-awaited Madrid debut on Wednesday in the Club World Cup as the Spanish giants squared off against Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. In the 19th minute of the game, Al-Hilal got their first major chance to break the deadlock as Alexander-Arnold gave the ball away and Renan Lodi found himself inside the Madrid box to find the back of the net. Lodi entered the box unmarked as Alexander-Arnold was caught napping, but fortunately for the Englishman, the goal was disallowed for offside.
